Rims on a Formula Vee are Potential Areas to be Regularly Checked.

Competitors,

Over the last two months there has been two rims fail at Formula Vee race events in Australia.

Although the two failures are not obviously related, they are a good reminder of the importance to regularly remove your rims and have a look at the back of the rim for cracks that may be forming. It is especially important when your rims come in contact with the rim of another car or worst still a wall or barrier as the initial incident may have created a small crack that if left has the potential to lead to a major rim failure.

Take the time to remove your rims from time to time, turn them around and have a look.

Regards

FVAA BoM
