FVAA Tech Bulletin

CAMS have published a new Formula Vee bulletin, available here:

http://www.cams.com.au/Sport/Bulletins_and_Regulations.aspxThe bulletin was originally made available with a publishing error.  The correct version was made available 19 December at 10am.  Please disregard any previous versions.
Please familiarise yourself with the bulletin.  Attached are explanatory notes for each item. The item that will affect every competitor is the increase in minimum weight for both 1200 and 1600 vehicles.
For those that need to add ballast to your vehicle, please note that CAMS requires ballast to be bolted to the chassis using at least 2 x 8.8 grade 8mm bolts, using reinforcements plates of 75mm x 50mm x 3mm.  More information can be found in the "Technical Definitions" document located at:http://www.camsmanual.com.au/10_gen_req.aspPlease take the required precautionary measures when working with lead:http://www.submarineboat.com/working_with_lead.htm An increase in minimum weight can also be achieved by the installation of larger battery or thicker floor.  Do not pour lead into chassis members, as it will affect the way the chassis deforms in an accident.
