Good afternoon folks,

Let me first introduce myself, my name is Dom short for Dominic, my main interest lately is VW trikes.

I have spent the last 2 years building, unfortunately I cannot use it since it will not meet our Provincial DOT, due to a weight distribution problem, too much in the rear section and not enough in the front.

So I figured the best way of tackling this problem would be to reconfigure the weight.

After much searching about VW, I came across the Formula Vee arrangement, I think that by using the same type of engine/tramission configuration I could correct this weight problem.

I am now looking at building a new suspension, in order to eliminate the orginal VW torsion tube and original trailing arm, thus reducing the weight considerably and also flipping the motor and transmission so that I end up with a mid-engine set-up.

Since I know nothing of the Formula Vee VW version, I may have over simplified the task at hand, this is where I hope that I can rely on some of this forum's members for assistance.

Besides telling me where to go, I would appreciate any guidance, and expertise in order to set me on the right track, or maybe I'm dreaming again, please let me know.

Regards

Dom
