exclaim Spring Packs & Droop Limiters (Front)

Posted by plantm at 01-06-2008 20:55
Hi all,

Being new to F/Vee racing and setup, can anyone tell me how many spring leaves is typical to run in the sping pack of the front suspension of a 1200 vee?

And do many people run droop limiters on the front suspension?

Cheers

Michael,

To quote the old Formula Vee Handbook "Spring packs will very from 3 full plus 1 half for a light driver to 5 full for a heavy driver."

This was written before adjustable ride height beams, in those days ride height was set by the spring pack. 4 full and 1 half is a good starting point if you're around the 85kg mark.

BTW what are you building?

I've also set you an email.
