Don't forget there are new rules in place! The main performance disadvantage is the lift reductions.
Does everyone realise that this applies to both 1200 and 1600 cars? How is this going to be checked down there?
As I understand it, a jig has been constructed that will simply and easily test the valve lift. It will be done hot straight after a race.
How will the tyre markings be differentiated from last season? If a competitor is running the same race number, then what will be used to identify if they are running tyres from this year or last year?
Leigh, Naomi and I will be marking tyres on Friday arvo between 4PM and 5pm. We would really appriciate it if everyone at WP on Friday could have all tyres marked on Friday arvo. We will also mark tyres early on Saturday on the grassed area near the scruternering bay before qualifying. Please note that outside of these times it will be diffuclt to get tyres marked, we are all competitors too and have our own problems.
Tyres will be checked on a regular basis in the dummy grid before and after events. At the very least non compliant cars will be sent away.
Check that you have your current sealing sheet with your logbook. Check that you have your current club membership card with your licence...
Very good advice, as I understand it you will NOT be able to get a membership card at WP, so contact Glen NOW!!!
Also there will be a dinner on Saturday night, typical of previous races. Please see Naomi on Saturday morning and bring your money (around $30 per head). I understand that she needs final numbers by 11AM for the resturant.
See everyone there
Daniel
