21-02-2007 UPDATE: Drive Day - Calder Park

The Victorian drive day is on this Saturday the 24th of February at Calder Park.
We have a large group of Formula Vee's coming, a number of public drivers and a heap of friends and sponsors that will be hitting the track.
For all those involved it would be appreciated if you could arrive at the track by around 1:30pm. We need to get everyone registered, cars scrutineered, drivers briefed and suited up ready to hit the track from 4pm. We have use of the track until 10pm under lights.
Brief details of the day:
- This is a fun day (not competitive). Remember that you are driving someone's pride and joy that will be used within a month for a state championship race meeting
- For public drivers, if you have a helmet and/or race suit/shoes, please bring them along. Otherwise we will provide you with all the required gear
- Public drivers will be assigned to a Formula Vee on the day (you must have registered prior though and received confirmation by phone from the association)
- We will be running 15 minute sessions and will endeavor to get as many people on the track as fast as possible. Please make yourself available for the majority of the afternoon/evening though.
- All Vee owners must bring their own fuel (not available at the track)
- All drivers under 18 must provide written consent from a parent/guardian
- All drivers will be required to sign a waiver releasing the Formula Vee Association of Victoria and Calder Park from liability etc
- A BBQ will be provided from 1:30pm for lunch and at around 6pm for dinner. Drinks and snacks will also be provided
