Round 2 of the Qld State Championships has been run and won by the Volks Engineering team.
Up against a quality field of nationally front running cars including Shane Hart and Nick Herford, Paul Manteit took 3 wins from 3 driving the John Alder prepared Rapier.
"The car was running really well this weekend, everything I asked of it, it delivered"
Proving the quality now expected in a Rapier, car builder John Alder was thrilled with the result - "This is the exact same car that won last year's state championship, the engine has effectively 2 full seasons on it, but it just keeps performing - you can't kill this thing with a stick!"
Next race for the Volks Engineering team will be at Qld Raceway on the 16th & 17th of May - a track where the car always seems to perform at it's best.
Paul explains "The car rides the bumps perfectly at Willowbank and it really sets you up well for the long journey down the back straight when you can carry good car speed through turn 2. The aero package works a treat in the draft too, so I'm really excited."
